User Acceptance Tester
(UAT Engineer)
As a User Acceptance Tester, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and usability of software applications during the development lifecycle. Your insights and expertise contribute to the successful delivery of reliable and user-friendly products.
Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Defect Tracking and Resolution:
- Responsible for tracking defects and ensuring appropriate resolution.
- Collaborate with development teams to address issues promptly.
- UAT Coordination:
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with real users.
- Conduct review sessions with stakeholders who will be using the application.
- Test Case Creation and Maintenance:
- Write and maintain detailed test cases/scripts aligned with user and business needs.
- Ensure test scripts reflect intended functionality and workflow.
- Participation in Testing Activities:
- Participate actively in all testing phases, including planning, designing, scripting, execution, and reporting.
- Organize functional and end-to-end testing, providing valuable feedback.
- Acceptance Criteria Definition:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria.
- Review user stories, business requirements, and functional specifications.
- Full Test Lifecycle Oversight:
- Oversee the entire testing process, from test planning to continuous integration.
- Assign project priorities within the department.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Preferred relevant degrees include Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Business, Education, Technical, Mathematics, Information Technology, Business/Management, or Natural Science.
- Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Understanding of business processes, financial systems, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in issue and project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft and software development lifecycle procedures.
- At least 2 years of IT experience as a UAT or QA Tester.
- Exposure to UI and CRM systems.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, Eclipse, JSON, Maven, JIRA, TestRail, SQL, and Python.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Salesforce, and Adobe Experience Manager.
